Sunt fan Hytera. De-a lungul timpului mi-au trecut prin mana destul de multe echipamente radio incat sa-mi pot face o parere pertinenta.De cativa ani buni am inceput sa ma joc cu echiamentele DMR si TETRA. DMR-ul fiind mai accesibil pot spune ca am testet 80% din terminalele radio lansate pe piata si care sa merite atentia. Din toate m-am oprit la Hytera datorita multitudinii de plusuri fata de ceilalti. Design,SW si HW.I-au lasat in urma pe cei de la Motorola.
Dar astazi nu vreau sa vorbsc despre DMR ci despre TETRA.
Aici pot aplica celebrul proverb englezesc: „Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” . Se aplica la mine.
Primele echipamente Tetra cu care mi-am inceput testele cu multi ani in urma au fost de la Nokia. Dolphin D600 parca, apoi a urmat Motorola D700 pe cand Reteaua Dolphin era in Voga in UK. Apoi am trecut la Motorola MTH500, MTH800, MTM700, MTM800, MTP850, MTP3250, MTM5200,MTM5400.
Am avut si ceva Sepura, Simocco, am umblat si dupa un terminal produs de AIBUS dar am renuntat datorita pretului si accesului zero la programare.
Dupa aparitia pe piata a diviziei TETRA de la Hytera si promovarii terminalelor destul de agresiv trebuie sa recunosc ca mi-am dorit statii TETRA de la ei. Si le-am avut.
Dupa foate multe cautari si la un pret destul de pierat cu ceva ani in urma am avut posibilitatea de a testa o Hytera PT580H. Desi la prima vedere am zis ca nu o mai las din mana, luata la bani marunti a inceput sa dea cu virgula.
Gasirea unui cablu de programare s-a transformat in holy grail quest. Fiind la vremea aceea in Romania si negasind in tara am ajuns sa caut cablu de programare pana prin Ungaria,Polonia, Cehoslovacia,Bulgaria,Germania, UK. Acolo am gasit.
CPS-ul. O alta necunoscuta. Dua multe cautari ( in jur de 3 luni) am reusit sa cumpar o licenta de CPS si m-am apucat de teste. Total Fail.
Un CPS mai sarac in optiuni si total nefolositor ca cel de la Hytera Tetra nu am vazut nici la Motorolele seria GM analog. Desi am insistat sa o fac folositoare statia a ajuns la cosul de gunoi. Fizic. Mi-am zis ca mi-a trecut.
Totusi dupa ceva ani si vazand ascensiunea rapida a Hyterelor DMR mi-am zis ca sigur au lucrat si la TETRA.
Am luat in test PT580H Plus si MT680 Plus
Ochioase in exterior dar de aceasta data nu m-am lasat pacalit de gardul vopsit si primul lucru pe care l-am facut a fost sa le desfac. Mai bine nu o faceam.
Rar mi-a fost dat sa vad o statie radio care se vrea utilizata in „critical Communication” realizata asa aiurea, prost si cheap. Cum naiba a trecut testele nu am nici cea mai vaga idee.
Avand ceva experienta in spate si stiind ca versiunile noi venind cu hv rev2 au si alt CPS, am presupus ca vor fi mai multe optiuni, satiul de „joaca” fiind mai degajat. WRONG.
La PT580/MT680 rev1 nu exista mai nimic in afara de read/write si ceva pe langa.
Versiunea testata de mine, rev.2 are mai multe dar nici e departe ce are generatia Motorola
lansata cu 5 ani in urma!!
Nu se poate copia codeplugul si pune la alt terminal asemanator, nu se pot grupa frecventele in foldere si aloca acelasi gssi, nu se poate aloca acelasii gssi la doua frecvente diferite,nu poti face expand, nu poti copia si rescrie user data, nu poti modifica frecventele scrise in statie din terminal fara interventia CPS-ului. Si muulte multe altele. Bani aruncati pe fereasta.
Desi capii de la Hytera au platit bani multi inginerilor care au fugit cu toate dosarele de pe masa de la Motorola se pare ca acei ingineri ori aveau dosarele cu tehnologie veche ori erau ingineri in design, chimie sau alte chestii care nu au treaba cu tehnologia actuala.
Abia in versiunea de anul acsta, rev.3 au bagat in CPS si optiunea de „CLONE CONFIG”
Un singur atu tot au. Angajatii de la PR sunt buni. Foarte buni.
Tragand linie de final mi-a cam ajuns Tetra de la Hytera si daca vor sa ma convinga ca gresesc si ca au terminale bune iar eu nu am stiut sa le folosesc astept sa-mi trimita flagship-ul lor sa vad despre ce este vorba. Dar sper sa nu fie la fel cum au facut in DMR cu Hytera PD985G lansata tot cu tam tam, care dupa ce am primit-o si am testat-o 2 zile imi venea sa plang langa ea atat de ridicola si in bataie de joc a fost facuta.

CPS. Another unknown. I’ve been doing a lot of searches (about 3 months) and I’ve been able to buy a CPS license, then took my tests. Total Fail.
A poorer CPS in options and totally useless like the one from Hytera Tetra i did not even see on Motorola’s GM analog series. Although I insisted on making it useful, the radio arrived in the bin. Physical. I thought I was finnished with Hytera Tetra.
Yet, after a few years and seeing the rapid rise of the DMR Hytera’s, I said they certainly worked on TETRA terminals too.
I took the PT580H Plus and MT680 Plus for test.
Attractive in the exterior, but this time I did not get fool about the painted fence and the first thing that I did was to open them. I did not do it better.
Is beyond my undestunding how a radio designed to be used in „critical communication” to be made so crap, crap and cheap. How the hell passed the tests I do not have the slightest idea.
Having some experience behind and knowing that the new versions coming with hw rev2 have another CPS, I assumed there would be more options,making my „play” being more relaxed. WRONG.
At PT580 / MT680 rev1 there is nothing more than read / write and something besides.
The version tested by me, Rev.2 has more but not far from what Motorola has
launched 5 years ago !!
Can not copy codeplug and copy data to another terminal, like you can not group frequencies in folders and assign the same GSSI, can not allocate same GSSI for two different frequencies, you can not freq expand, you can not copy and rewrite user data, you can not modify the station frequencies in the terminal without CPS intervention. And it missing many more. Money thrown out the window.
Although the heads of Hytera have paid good money for engineers who ran with all files from they desk from Motorola ,looks like those engineers, or had files with old technology or were engineers in design, chemistry or something that did not work with current technology .
Only in the release of this year, rev.3 they put in the CPS option of „CLONE CONFIG”
There’s only one bright point. PR employees are good. Very good.
Drawing the finish line I kind of got enough Tetra from Hytera and they want to convince me that I’m wrong and they end good and I did not know to use tjey radios i’m waiting them to send me flagship of their TETRA radio product to see what it is.
Really hope that they will not do the same as they did in DMR with Hytera PD985G released with big drums, which after arrival and i tested two days I started to cry beside it so ridiculous and in a joke it was done.
